45 Hour Federal Tax Course

$149.95 $129.95

The “How To Become a Tax Preparer – 45 Hours Federal Tax Law” course was designed to teach you all that there is to learn about federal tax law and preparing federal tax returns. This course is not available for enrollment for anyone who lives in 1 of the 4 following states: CA, OR, MD, and NY. If you live in a state that has ZERO Tax Education Course Requirements, then this is the course we recommend enrolling in to learn the basics of Income Tax Prep. And because state tax laws differ from state to state, where as Federal tax law is constant no matter which state you’re in, we find it to be best practice to start learning the “Federal” side of Tax Law Knowledge, and waiting until later to get into the “State” side of tax law, knowledge. We provide live chat, email and phone for any questions you may have during our regular business hours, Monday – Friday. We are closed on the weekend. We recommend purchasing the Premium Package for the best learning experience.

Free Enrollment in 2019 AFSP Course:

If you purchased this course anytime between May 1st and December 31st, you will automatically receive free enrollment into the 2019 Annual Filing Season Program AFSP Course which is good for IRS Continuing Education Credit. This means upon completion of the AFSP course, we will report your hours to the IRS immediately.

Are you exempt or non-exempt?

In general, you are an exempt tax return preparer (exempt from taking an annual test) if you passed a specified exam on tax preparation, such as the Registered Tax Return Preparer exam (Nov. 2011 – Jan. 2013), VITA examination, or an exam required by states such as California or Oregon to prepare taxes in that state; or if you are a CPA, enrolled agent (EA), or tax attorney. For details, see the IRS website (for Tax Pros, Annual Filing Season Program). Exempt preparers should have received a letter from the IRS stating that they are exempt. If you are not exempt, you are non-exempt and have different requirements.
